To our friends at Colonial,

My wife Danita and I have been members of Colonial for a little over two years now.  Since joining, we have made a host of close friends and in many ways a new chapter in our lives has opened. 

I travel for work throughout the Country and have been an avid golfer for most of my adult life.  In comparison to the litany of places I’ve played, our golf course is something special and I am very proud to consider it my home course.  The tradition and layout of our South course especially is right there at the top of the list, like a little Heaven on Earth to a golfer.

I am happy to play with a large group of guys affectionately known as “The Goats”.  Although not known for their golfing prowess, the competition, laughs and utter enjoyment playing together is a highlight in my life and our friendships continue to grow.  However, I must admit that my alcohol consumption has increased significantly after being welcomed into this group of golf nuts.

Danita and I routinely enjoy the many advantages our Club offers beyond just the great golf.  On Friday nights, we soon discovered that meeting with friends in the Mixed Grill is much more fun than waiting in line to eat at a local restaurant.  The food, live music and service from our Colonial staff, always makes the experience that much better. 

I was a member at another local golf club in Memphis for over 18 years and in retrospect, wish I had joined Colonial years ago.  In a word, we do LOVE Colonial for all the things mentioned above and many more.  Just ask my grandkids about their swimming pool fun, Fourth of July celebration and Easter egg hunts.  Colonial is great!
